I hate to do this to you, but I’m moving the Monster Commute comic to www.monstercommute.com.

I should have done it this way in the first place. As I’ve put more emphasis and work into the comic, it has become more important that I make it easy to explain and easy to find.

So, here’s what I need from you:

  1. Read new Monster Commute strips at the new site.
  2. Bookmark www.monstercommute.com
  3. Hook up our new RSS feed
  4. If you’ve been been waiting, now might be a great time to get started reading MC.
  5. Link up www.monstercommute.com on your blog/site/myspace/facebook/whatever

I don’t have anything this drastic planned in the future, so hang in there with me.

I’ll be moving Steam Crow back into being our hub/gallery; but the majority of fresh news and content will be at MonsterCommute.com. Comics will be removed from Steam Crow as well.

So, that’s my story. This crazy NW weather has forced my hand a little earlier than I was planning, as I can’t afford to update 2 sites from afar.

This concludes my week away from home, pre-comic posting system.

Hopefully, it all worked without me botching some important detail, to keep you rolling in fresh Monster Commute comics.

I usually just post the night before, just to make sure everything is Kosher, which also gives me a chance to think a little bit about my daily blog posts.

This time, I sat down and did all five at once, which explains why I’m so dog tired by the time I got to this one.

Part of my experiment is to also see if I can build some new comics on the road, too. My buffer is oh-so-thin, so I’d best be knocking out some new work in my evenings in Spokaloo.

Usually, Monday-Friday, I’ve been making new comics to replace the ones that have gone up. That works fine, until life gets in the way. I don’t want that to happen, so I’ve got to work on that buffer.

Other things I’m currently working on:

  • New 2008 convention display (Monster Commute flavor)
  • New 2008 Monster Commute products
  • New 2008 sales flyer (I gotta get crackin!)
  • New online store
  • Finishing up www.monstercommute.com
  • Monthly taxes (yay)

And, I’m trying not to get sick so I have all of this done by the upcoming Phoenix Comicon! (Which means that I still need time to sleep.)

Yeah, this is why Twitter has been so dead, and my emails have been piling up.

This traveling thing takes time, and I thought that a daily commute was time consuming?

Please continue to write and comment, as this is the only proof that anyone is reading this stuff. It’s true, and it seems to be universally this way among the cartoonists that I talk to and follow.

They say “cartooning is a solitary job”, which seems to be fairly true. No complaints here, as I get to be the evil dictator (DIK!).

Okay, hopefully I’ll be warming up in the next few days from the Spokane ICE FREEZE 2008.

Anybody remember ICE STORM?!!! (Ice Storm ‘98?)
